Investing in those pieces you get the most wear out of has been and will continue to be one of the finest guidance for your wardrobe. Shoes you can afford and can practically be worn with everything, the simplistic navy blazer that goes with everything and your coat, your biggest purchase of any season, should all be abstemious enough to cooperate with your entire wardrobe.
Lately, Riccardo Tisci or J.W. Anderson and other designers havent been paying attention however, since last year’s season outerwear went all hands on deck and went wild. Taking special attention to fur, we saw the return of fur in full scale with this year’s full return of shearling coats, full fur overcoats, fur-lined denim jackets, fur-lined parka, etc.
I don’t know about you but with the northeast weather in single digits, opting for the warmest jackets and coats and overall outfits (more on this on a later post) seemed like the only option. Sensible? Of course yes. But beyond the crazy weather, there was heaps of quality fashion so often ignored: layering & fun. Which is why I reckon this season, you should bend everything else to work with your coat.

Note from Nas:
The last photo was me being jolly from the cold. It was really cold for me to be wearing just a wool suit like that.
